Ni Hao, hello,

My name is Lei Li, and I am the kindergarten teacher at Riverview International Academy, Winter Gardens Campus, where I have been teaching for 16 years. As a native Chinese speaker, I was raised in China and earned my B.A. there. I then obtained two Master’s degrees in education and teaching credentials from SDSU.

I have taught both Mandarin and English for almost 20 years, with classroom teaching experience that spans from adults to children in grades K through 12. In 2024, I was honored to be selected as “The Teacher of Lakeside.”

I really enjoy singing, dancing, and engaging in all kinds of hands-on activities with my students. I believe that children learn best when they use all of their senses. My commitment to my students is to do my very best to help them learn actively and efficiently.

I find the most rewarding aspects of teaching come from the nurturing relationships I have built with each child and the sense of confidence they gain as they experience success and growth in my classroom. I look forward to working with all of my students to explore more about the Chinese language and culture!
