Since 2006, the RIA immersion program has provided a K-12 Language Program Pathway where our graduates can continue their language learning through local middle schools and El Capitan High School with the opportunity to earn prestigious biliteracy or triliteracy awards.
Kamila Carter- El Capitan High School's Class of 2024 Valedictorian
Kamila Carter is one of the many shining examples of student success stories nurtured at Riverview International Academy. She attended Riverview International Academy Mandarin Immersion Program in 2011. She continued her language study through K-12 Language pathway and received the prestigious Triliteracy Seal in Mandarin, Spanish, and English, and boasts an impressive 4.913 GPA. Beyond academics, Kamy excelled as a lacrosse player and was accepted into ALL eight colleges she applied to, including Yale, Brown, Georgetown, US Naval Academy, Bucknell, American, Towson, and Villanova!!! Ultimately, Kamy chose to attend the U.S. Naval Academy, where she will pursue Foreign Area Studies. Harmony Richardson
Another shining example of a student success story nurtured at the Mandarin Immersion program of Riverview International Academy: Harmony Richardson. Harmony attended Riverview International Academy's Mandarin Immersion Program in 2010. She continued her Mandarin language study through K-12 Language pathway and received the prestigious Biliteracy Seal in Mandarin and English, demonstrating the language proficiency and readiness for the future challenges!
During her pathway tears, she participated in the Chinese Bridge competition and won many awards including Best Talent, Best Speech and First Place. Harmony's academic achievements are equally impressive. She is now majoring Kinesiology and Interdisciplinary Studies at SDSU and is also a member of the Honors College. Her goal is to become a physical therapy doctor.

Mathew Piasecki
We are proud to present you this shinning example of student success story nurtured at the Mandarin Immersion program of Riverview International Academy: Mathew Piasecki. Mathew is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. He attended Riverview International Academy's Mandarin Immersion Program in 2010. At our 5th grade promotion ceremony, he was representing the fifth grade class to give graduating speech entirely in Mandarin Chinese. He continued his study through the K-12 Language pathway. He not only received the prestigious Triliteracy Seal in Mandarin, Spanish and English but also finished Med Tech pathway, demonstrating language proficiency and readiness for future challenges. From Mathew’s young age, he has always been fascinated in mechanical principles and how things work. He likes working on cars, designing new parts, using 3D printers, and using CAD design to model the parts. With passions on mechanical principals, and how things work behind the scenes, Mathew channeled his interests to pursue becoming an engineer. Riverview International Academy is proud to have been a foundational part of Mathew's remarkable journey and celebrates his achievements as he embarks on this next exciting chapter.
