About Us

  Riverview International Academy is San Diego County's only dual-immersion Spanish and Mandarin program. We offer UTK-5 in Spanish immersion and K-5 in Mandarin immersion with students receiving weekly supplemental instruction in the third language. Many of our students continue their immersion education through middle and high school, earning the prestigious California State Seal of Biliteracy, among other academic achievements. 

  Our school spans two campuses in Lakeside, California: Winter Gardens Elementary which is a UTK-1st campus and Riverview Elementary which is our 2nd-5th grade campus. Both campuses offer every student access to STEAM labs, art programs, weekly music lessons, cultural enrichment activities, and more! 

 We have an active PTSA which has earned our school the National School of Excellence award and supports our curriculum to ensure our students get a well-rounded education. Families in our program enjoy monthly family engagement activities and cultural performance opportunities for our students on and off campus. We take pride in creating a strong school-wide community where EVERY student is welcome!
